I air out my mind in my sketchbook, in which I create mental landscapes straight from my subconscious. I use different kinds of markers and pens to freely draw overlapping layers on the paper, without much thought. My sketchbook is very diary-like as the patterns come into being from some colour, shape, or landscape that I saw during the day that then gets mixed with my current emotional state. I combine my earlier experiences and observations and try to get the things running through my head down on paper. This type of activity cleanses my mind and helps me let go of thoughts circling in my mind, letting the emotions out of my system.
